Allstream wanted to transform themselves in the minds of their customers – positioning themselves as leading-edge telecommunications innovators – through a series of entertaining and highly-impactful customer events. They came to WHIRL and, we created MindShift.


MindShift was an opportunity to explore new ideas in telecommunications in a unique setting. A continually interactive forum was created through the design of the space itself – a main stage, four “InfoPod” mini-theatres for breakout sessions, a tradeshow, a continuous service café, and lounge seating for one-on-one discussions. MindShift was executed in Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Winnipeg.


Next, MindShift: upclose + interactive was a cross-Canada tour executed in seven cities in which C-Level customers could gather in small, intimate and elegant surroundings, and interact directly senior executives.


Both events featured digital solutions such as registration and tracking, as well as e-updates and email-based video thank-you’s from key presenters. Additional WHIRL elements included venue selection, content development, staging, tradeshow planning, multimedia design and production, video production, video animation, print collateral such as a 20-page Conference Guide, nametags and signage, sponsor recognition, décor and food & beverage suitable for such an influential audience.


Response from customers was extremely positive, and lead generation surpassed expectations. Allstream made MindShift the umbrella brand for all their customer communications.
